Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 5, 2026
KaamDiary is built and supported by Elevon Tech ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information KaamDiary collects, why, how it's stored, who else can see it, and how you can have it deleted. It covers the KaamDiary Android app and this website.
KaamDiary is a work-tracking tool for daily-wage workers and contractors in India — it does not sell your data, and does not share it with anyone beyond the service providers named below that help run the app itself.
1. Information we collect
Account information
To use KaamDiary you sign in with either your email and a password, or your Google account. Depending on which you choose, we receive your name, email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the profile photo associated with that account. You can optionally add a phone number and a profile photo of your own to your KaamDiary profile afterwards.
Business data you enter
KaamDiary's entire purpose is to hold the day-to-day records of your work, so the largest category of data is what you choose to type in yourself:
- The workers or contractors ("parties") you add — their name, and optionally a phone number, a daily wage, a note, and a profile photo.
- Attendance entries — the date, shift, and status (full day, half day, absent, etc.) you mark for each person.
- Payments you record — the amount, method (cash or transfer), an optional note, and an optional photo of payment proof.
- Expenses you log against a work — the amount, a name, an optional note, and an optional receipt photo.
- Work entries — a name, optional details, an optional free-text location you type in (KaamDiary never reads your device's GPS location), and up to ten photos of the work itself.
If the people you manage in KaamDiary are not the ones using the app themselves, you are responsible for having their consent to record their name, phone number, and any photo you add on their behalf, the same way you would if you kept this information in a paper register.
Photos
Any photo you attach — a worker's profile photo, payment proof, an expense receipt, or a work photo — is uploaded to private, per-account storage. It is never public, and is never visible to anyone other than you (and, for a contractor's team data, only insofar as that data already belongs to your own account).
Information collected automatically
- Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) — if the app crashes, we receive your account ID and which role (worker/contractor) you had active, so we can reproduce and fix the bug. We do not send names, phone numbers, wages, amounts, or notes in a crash report.
- Anonymous usage analytics (Firebase Analytics) — general, non-identifying product events (e.g. "attendance marked", "payment screen opened") that help us understand which parts of the app are actually used. No name, phone number, party name, wage, or amount is ever included in an analytics event.
- Advertising data (Google AdMob) — the Android app shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers under its own privacy practices to serve and measure ads; KaamDiary does not pass any of your KaamDiary account or business data to AdMob. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google itself handles this.
2. How we use your information
- To create and secure your account, and let you sign back in.
- To show you your own attendance, balance, payment, and expense records, calculated from what you've entered.
- To send you reminder notifications — a nudge if a day's attendance hasn't been marked, and periodic reminders to settle pending payments. These notifications contain generic text only, never personal or financial details.
- To send you a one-time password-setup email if you request one (sent from our own mail account; only a hash of your email address is ever logged, never the address or the link itself).
- To diagnose crashes and understand product usage, as described above.
- To show ads (Android only) that help keep KaamDiary free.
3. Where your information is stored
KaamDiary is built entirely on Google Firebase / Google Cloud infrastructure — Firestore (your records), Firebase Storage (your photos), Firebase Authentication (your sign-in), Firebase Cloud Messaging (reminders), and Firebase Crashlytics/Analytics (diagnostics). Every piece of data is stored under your own account and is only readable by that account — nothing is public, and a contractor and their workers never see each other's raw account data, only what the app itself shows them.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. The only parties involved in operating KaamDiary at all are:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — hosts all app data, described above.
- Google AdMob — serves ads in the Android app, as described above.
- Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with Google.
5. App permissions
KaamDiary asks for camera and photo-library access only when you choose to attach a photo (work, payment proof, receipt, or profile), and for notification permission to send reminders. KaamDiary does not request or use your location, contacts, SMS, or microphone, on any platform.
6. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists, so that your ledger stays intact across app updates and device changes. We don't automatically delete anything on our own — data is removed only when you ask us to, as described below.
7. Deleting your data
You can request full deletion of your account and every record tied to it at any time — see our Account Deletion page for exactly how. Signing out of the app does not delete anything; it only ends your current session on that device.
8. Children's privacy
KaamDiary is a work-management tool intended for adults managing paid daily-wage work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back occasionally.
